Employee Surveying – We will develop a clear understanding of your business objectives and design employee surveys to help you know the types of programs and services your employees want, thereby helping you increase employee retention.

COBRA Administration – Meeker Sharkey will coordinate with a COBRA administration firm to provide an outsourcing solution that takes COBRA administration, along with its legal risks, completely off your hands. When an employee terminates, HR will send a single form to the administrator. From that point onward, the administrator will manage the entire COBRA relationship with your former employee, including sending notices, collecting and remitting premiums, answering questions and handling any issues that arise.

Flexible Spending Account Administration (FSA) – The FSA is a popular employer-provided benefit which allows workers to set aside money to pay for items such as health insurance co-pays, uninsured treatments (such as vision care) or even over-the-counter drug purchases. The money is deposited into the employee's account through regular, equal payroll deductions. The deductions are made on a pre-tax basis, meaning the employer doesn’t have to pay federal, social security and, in some cases, state taxes on that amount of income. Meeker Sharkey coordinates with the administration firm to implement this service.

Dependent Care - Child and dependent care is a critical issue and a large expense for many American families. Millions of people rely on child care to be able to work, while others are responsible for older parents or disabled family members. Employees who care for a child or adult who is: 1.) incapable of self-care, 2.) lives at the employee's home for at least eight hours each day, and 3.) can be claimed as a dependent by the employee on income tax returns, may be able to take advantage of dependent care flexible spending accounts (FSAs). These accounts allow individuals to pay for qualified child and dependent care expenses while lowering their taxable income. Meeker Sharkey coordinates with the administration firm to implement this service.
