At Meeker Sharkey we can design a simple or complex wellness program.

Our wellness programming can include health education classes, subsidized use of fitness facilities, internal policies that promote healthy behavior, and any other activity, policy or environmental change that affects the health of employees.

Our wellness programming will impact your bottom line by: helping control rising healthcare costs; increasing employee productivity; increasing employee morale.

We will build and customize a wellness program specific to your employees' needs and healthcare data and will deliver the tools you need to get a successful wellness program off the ground. Depending on the cultural acceptance of your organization, we can integrate mandatory employee bio-metric screenings and link financial incentives to employees completing these screenings (i.e., reduction in employer contributions or employee premium). We will help you:

  • Gather claims data, a needs and interest survey, health risk assessment aggregate results, prescription drug utilization, culture audit and other pertinent data. From this data we will make some recommendations regarding the types of programs you will want to offer.
  • Build a strategic wellness plan that incorporates specific goals and objectives.
  • Help support the implementation of the wellness plan with specific resources and communication vehicles.
  • Evaluate and refine the plan over time.

Our wellness services include:

Health Risk Assessments – this tool allows employees to gauge their potential health risks by answering a comprehensive self-assessment. Employees also receive a report based on the information they provide to help determine current health status and learn to manage risks for various conditions. The employer will receive aggregate reports on your population’s risks based on the results of the health risk assessment. This data will help you and us to establish a baseline to manage employees’ well-being and determine the programs to schedule for employees to address the needs of your group.

Health Fairs - Onsite health and wellness events tailored to meet employees’ healthcare needs.

Lunch & Learn Meetings - Lunch time education sessions covering topics such as coping with chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma or hypertension, or better managing the day-to-day, such as diet, exercise and stress.

Health Screenings - Screenings include, but are not limited to, blood pressure, BMI, blood sugar, lipid panel, pulmonary function and bone density.

Disease Management – We work with the health insurance carriers and other disease management firms to provide comprehensive disease management programs designed to help your eligible employees and their dependents with chronic conditions better manage their health and improve their quality of life.

Value-Based Benefit Designs – We work with health insurance carriers that offer customized plan designs and supportive elements to help your employees with certain chronic or complex health conditions to better manage their health. Value-based benefit designs are beneficial because employees can more easily follow recommended care plans and take a proactive role in establishing healthy behaviors.
